Last night, as usual, we slept with family in Lat Krabang. Today we go to Khao Yai, a large national park in Changwat (province) Nakhon Ratchasima.
The hotel we booked is a few kilometers from the park.

We pack after breakfast and leave at a quarter past 11, we use the navigation on Tom's phone.
We do not drive via Kanchanipisek Road and Saraburi but inland via Nong Chok. We follow road 3035, which turns into road 3026, which turns into ... until we reach road 33. Tom thinks we should follow that road now, even though the navigation indicates otherwise. And we follow road 33. The navigation clearly indicates an alternative route, much nicer than the Kanchanaphisek Road.
Finally we arrive on the road to Nakhon Ratchasima. After a while we take the exit to Khao Yai and have something to eat along the road at ร้านบ้านกล้วยน้ำว้า เขาใหญ่, very tasty.

Then drive on to the Phu Wanalee resort, it is easy to find.
Friendly welcome, unfortunately the restaurant is closed today.
The first impression is that it is a bit gloomy resort, but the room is spacious and neat, with old-fashioned wooden doors and windows and a good bathroom.
After we unpacked our luggage, we go for a drink at the Hop Beer House Khaoyai, they have tasty IPA, it is very quiet there.
We drive to a 7/11 to buy beer for the hotel, and we look at restaurants along the main road. We don't see anything we like there.
We drop off the beer at the hotel and drive back to the Hop Beer House and eat German sausage there. It is still quiet there, but when we leave more people come.

We open the window in the hotel, better for fresh air and then the air conditioning does not have to be turned on.
